About N4 Kanji
N4 is the intermediate level of the JLPT and introduces approximately 150 new kanji characters. These build upon the N5 foundation to expand your reading and writing capabilities.
These kanji are commonly found in newspapers, magazines, and everyday written communication. They include more complex concepts, emotions, and business-related terms.
Focus on understanding both readings (kun'yomi and on'yomi) and practice recognizing these kanji in compound words. Many N4 kanji combine with N5 kanji to form common vocabulary.
Use the grid view for quick recognition practice and the list view for detailed study. Create your own example sentences using these kanji to reinforce learning in context.
